This Hand woven Clutch are made by artisans in Bolivia and Peru,  and bring the mix of natural and vibrant colors and represent their love and culture. Clutch was made out of Aguayo (Awayu) manta (Andean handmade textile).

Bolivian and Peru Aguayo (Awayu) fabric or vintage "frazada" is a hand woven textile blanket made in the Andes of Bolivia &Peru by the Quechua (Native Americans). Each color of thread is dyed by hand using natural fibers of wood, leaves or flowers. While this bag is durable it has very delicate and intricate designs woven into its fabric. The Bolivian craftsmen carefully worked each piece with care and affection.

- Our Clutch of textile Aguayo feature an inner black  lining and zipper on top and strap. No inside pockets. It is the perfect accessory for everyday use.

AGUAYO INFORMATION:
An Aguayo is a rectangular piece of cloth used in traditional communities in the Andes of Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru and Argentina. The aguayo is most associated with Quechua and Aymara culture but is not exclusive to them. Aguayos typically features colorful stripes interrelated with other figures with symbolic values. Quechua and Aymara women often use them to carry children and take products to the market.
